Housing: Tumbler Ridge offers various housing options, including apartments, townhouses, mobile homes, and single- or multi-family units. Looking to buy or rent? Explore our local realtors:
Mail & Parcels: Canada Post is located at 235 Front Street, across from the medical clinic. Tumbler Ridge has no door-to-door mail delivery, so you’ll need to rent a post office box (provided free for one individual box) and collect your mail at the Post Office. Couriers often use third-party services to deliver to Tumbler Ridge, but deliveries typically don't arrive at your door. Depending on the courier, packages are either sent to the Post Office or Rockin' Rob's Dollar Store and More at 102 Iles Way.
Health Care: The Health and Social Services Centre offers all healthcare services in one location, including medical, ambulance, public health, counselling, and emergency care. The Centre is located downtown, directly opposite the Post Office. Learn more here.
School Registration: Our public school system in Tumbler Ridge has an elementary school (grades K-6) and a high school (grades 7-12). There is also opportunities for smaller children that include Strong Start, preschool and multi-age daycare programs. Our Norther Lights College also offers post-graduate courses for young adults or mature students.

Garbage Pick-Up & Recycling: Garbage is collected three days a week in different areas of town. Ensure your garbage is secured in the bear-resistant collection cart with both latches clipped by 8 a.m. Bags should not exceed 75 pounds for the safety of collection staff. Recycling is collected bi-weekly on your regular garbage day, alternating with solid waste collection. The program uses single-stream collection—no sorting or bags are needed, as bags are not accepted in bins. For a full list of accepted items, click here.

Where do I pay my property taxes?
Property owners eligible for the Homeowner Grant must claim it before the deadline at https://www.etax.gov.bc.ca/btp/HOG/_.
Property tax forms will be mailed to post office boxes in advance. Payments can be made:
- In-person at the Town Hall Front Desk (credit cards and checks are not accepted).
- Online through your financial institution.
Please ensure your payment is made before the deadline to avoid penalties.
How does Daylight Savings Time work in Tumbler Ridge?
Part of the Peace River Regional District of BC (including Tumbler Ridge) is on Mountain Time and does not observe DST. This means that the region's clocks are the same as those in Calgary and Edmonton in the winter, they are the same as those in Vancouver in the summer.
How do I register my pets and get a dog or cat licence?
All dogs and cats over the age of 6 months must be licensed with the District of Tumbler Ridge. You can purchase licences at the Front Desk of Town Hall, located at 305 Iles Way.
