Following the February 10 tragedy, many individuals, organizations, and communities have reached out asking how they can help.
This page provides trusted ways to donate, offer support, and connect with current community needs. Information will continue to be updated as needs evolve.
Please note: The District of Tumbler Ridge does not directly provide financial assistance to individuals. Donations are coordinated through established partner organizations and designated funds to ensure they are managed and distributed appropriately.

Donate Financially
Financial donations allow organizations to respond quickly to immediate needs while also supporting longer-term community recovery.
Below are three trusted options for those wishing to contribute:
Tumbler Ridge Community Resiliency Fund (Northeast BC Community Foundation)
The purpose of the Tumbler Ridge Community Resiliency Fund is to support initiatives that help the community recover, heal, and build resiliency in the aftermath of a deeply traumatic event.
Funding priorities will be guided by community input and may evolve over time as needs change. The process is being designed to ensure that decisions are informed by the voices of Tumbler Ridge resident, including youth, educators, first responders, health care workers, families, services providers and other community members.

Tumbler Ridge Parent Advisory Council (PAC)
Support for Tumbler Ridge Schools
Donations are being accepted through the Tumbler Ridge PAC to support both Tumbler Ridge schools. If donors wish to support a specific school, they may write "TRE" or "TRSS" in the memo line. Otherwise, donations will be used across both schools as needs arise.

Canadian Red Cross
The Canadian Red Cross is also working to support those impacted by the tragedy. Money raised will be used to support those affected by the devastating events, helping to meet immediate needs and address the impacts on individuals, families, and communities.
Offer Support
Many people have reached out wanting to provide goods, services, or other forms of assistance. The District is helping connect offers of support with community needs as they arise.
