How to Pay Your District of Tumbler Ridge Taxes
- In Person: Pay in person at Municipal Hall located at 305 Iles Way Town Hall, Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
We accepted payments in Cheque, Cash, or Debit.- IMPORTANT NOTICE: We do not accept payment by credit card at Town Hall.
- By Mail: Send a cheque or bank draft to: District of Tumbler Ridge, Box 100, 305 Iles Way, Tumbler Ridge, BC V0C 2W0
- Make cheques payable to District of Tumbler Ridge.
- To avoid a penalty charge, please allow enough time for delivery as postmarks on mailed remittances will not be considered as the date of payment. All payments must be received by the District of Tumbler Ridge on or before July 2, 2026.
- Pay by Online Banking: To pay through your financial institution follow the steps below.
- Add “Tumbler Ridge, District (Property Taxes)" as a payee through your financial institution.
- Use your property roll number as the account number. (Not all Financial Institutions may have Tumbler Ridge available as a payee)
- When entering your roll number 8 digits may be required by your financial institution. To do this, add zero(s) in the beginning of your roll number. Example: if your roll number is 123456 try 01234156. Please contact your financial institution for more information.
- Pay by E-Transfer: Send your payment to: finance@dtr.ca. Please include your property roll number in the message/comment field.
- Pay by Credit Card (Online Only): Credit cards are accepted through the District's online payment portal only. See below for information on our Online options.
Online Services
The District of Tumbler Ridge is pleased to offer online services for property taxes, invoices and business licenses.
To use this service, you must register for an online account. Registering will allow you to pay your property taxes, pay your District of Tumbler Ridge invoice, or pay your business license.

You will need your Online Service Code in order to register. This can be found on various documents:
- Property Taxes – code is located on the top right-hand corner of the Property Tax Notice
- Invoices – code is located on top of the Invoice
- Business License – code is located on top of the Business License Invoice

Currently, the only accepted payment through our online payment portal is with a valid credit card. This service is offered through a third-party provider. Credit card processing fees of 1.5% of the total will be applicable to all credit card payments.

Home Owner Grant Application
To apply for a retroactive or the current year's grant visit www.gov.bc.ca/homeownergrant, or call 1-888-355-2700 to speak to a live agent Monday to Friday 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Please note that BC Municipalities are no longer accepting grant applications.
- Unclaimed grant amounts will receive a penalty if not claimed before July 2, 2026.
- It is the property owner's responsibility to apply on time.
- If your taxes are paid through your mortgage you must still claim your home owner grant, if eligible.
Provincial Tax Deferment Program
Eligible BC residents can apply for the provincial deferment program at www.gov.bc.ca/propertytaxdeterment.
